1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use Frames:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google OAuth. We do not have access to your Google password.
- Usage analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymized data about how you interact with the app — such as pages visited, features used, and device or browser type. This helps us improve Frames.
- Design data. All designs you create in Frames are stored exclusively in your browser via IndexedDB. We do not upload, access, or store your designs on any server.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Polar, our third-party payment provider. We receive only your subscription status (free or pro). We never see or store your card number or payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate and maintain your account via Google OAuth.
- To provide and operate the Frames service.
- To process your subscription through Polar.
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the product (via PostHog).
- To send transactional emails related to your account or support requests.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Frames uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google OAuth — for sign-in and authentication.
- Polar — for subscription and payment processing.
- PostHog — for product analytics.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services if you have questions about how they handle your data.
4. Your Design Data
All designs you create are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This means:
- Your designs are private by default — Frames cannot access them.
- Clearing your browser data, cache, or site storage will permanently delete your designs.
- Frames does not back up your designs. We strongly recommend exporting important work regularly.
- If you use Frames on multiple devices or browsers, your designs will not sync automatically.
5. Cookies and Sessions
We use cookies to keep you signed in and maintain session state. Blocking cookies or disabling site storage will prevent sign-in from working. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Data Retention
Your account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like us to delete your account and associated data, email us at frames.offl@gmail.com and we will process your request.
7. Security
We use HTTPS to encrypt data in transit. Access to user account data is restricted to authorized systems. While we take reasonable precautions, no service is completely immune to security risks.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at frames.offl@gmail.com.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Frames after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
